117th International Exhibition of Professional Photography for 2008-2009.

2008-2009 Award Winning Album- Rogers Photography, Guilford, CT

A Wedding Album created by Rogers Photography of has recently been accepted into the
General Collection of the 117th International Exhibition of Professional Photography.
Rogers Photography’s work will be on display at the Phoenix Convention Center,
January 11-13, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Approximately 4,514 entries were submitted to Professional Photographers of America’s (PPA’s)
International Print Competition from which a panel of more than 40 eminent photographers from
across the United States selected the images that would comprise the
2008 General and Loan Collections...the most prestigious awards.

"SUMMER", Rogers Photography's entry, will be in Phoenix alongside other photographic works from
not only PPA’s print competition, but also traveling and special invitational displays.
These images constitute the world’s largest annual exhibit of professional photography
gathered simultaneously under one roof.

SmugMug.com, to handle all of our online ordering and proofing.

With our bookings more than doubling in the past two years, it made perfect sense to out source our
printing for individual print orders. This will allow us to concentrate on our award winning
photograpy and album design with the added benefit of shorter turn around times.

Key to our decision was the fact that SmugMug has the same commitment to quality as ourselves and offers

Rogers Photography of Guilford, CT is pleased to be selected as the sole Connecticut photographer to photograph
U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales appearance the 10th Annual Department of Justice Awards.

U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was on hand to honor and thank the approximately 200 personnel from
the D.O.J. for their outstanding achievements in law enforcement and their commitment to serving and protecting
the citizens of the United States specifically in the state of Connecticut. Also speaking was
Connecticut U.S. Attorney Kevin J. O'Connor who was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2002.
Edmund Rogers, owner of Rogers Photography, is a former photojournalist/journalist and was the
Chief Photographer for the daily newspaper "The Evening Sentinel". He has also covered assignments for
various news publications including "The Connecticut Post" ,"New Haven Register", "Shoreline Publications"
and "Hometown Publications".
During his career as a photojournalist he has covered high profile political figures including
41st United States President George H.W. Bush, Governor of CT. Lowell P.Weicker, Senator Joseph Liberman,
Senator Christopher Dodd and CT. Attorney General Richard Blumenthall among others.
He has also photographed numerous celebrities including Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Walter Cronkite,
Mark Whalberg, designer Holly Kristen, Catherine Forbes, Faith Middleton, Susan St. James, John, McEnroe, Ivan Lendle.
