Who We Are
For more than three decades, we’ve photographed people at their most meaningful moments — weddings, families, performances, and the quiet in‑between scenes that often become the most cherished. We’re Ed and Lori Rogers, a husband‑and‑wife team based in Middletown, Connecticut, and since opening our studio in 1992, we’ve documented more than 1,500 weddings along with countless portraits, events, and commercial assignments. Our work has taken us from intimate backyard ceremonies to presidential coverage, from Connecticut’s most beloved venues to assignments for organizations such as the U.S. Department of Justice, Microsoft, The Connecticut Toyota Group, Metrix Labs and Fortune 500 companies. Along the way, we’ve photographed cultural icons including Julia Child, Jacques Pépin, Catherine Forbes, Holly Kristen, and Mark Wahlberg — but the heart of our work has always been everyday people experiencing extraordinary moments.
Our approach is simple: real moments, beautifully photographed, without staging or interference. We don’t direct your day or manufacture emotion. Instead, we watch, anticipate, and capture what’s actually happening — the way it felt, not the way it was posed. That philosophy has shaped every wedding, portrait session, and commercial assignment we’ve ever taken on. It’s also why couples describe our presence as calm, unobtrusive, and quietly reassuring. You get to be fully present, enjoy your day, and trust that everything meaningful is being documented with care, experience, and an eye for authenticity.
What sets us apart is consistency. Every assignment is photographed by us — never associates, never subcontractors. When you hire Rogers Photography, you get the two people whose names are on the door, whose reputation is built on trust, and whose work you’ve seen throughout this site. Our editing is timeless and true to life, our storytelling is grounded in honesty, and our commitment to our clients is the same today as it was when we began.
Meet Ed & Lori
Ed Rogers
Ed brings his journalistic instinct for timing, composition, and emotional honesty. He’s the quiet observer — the one who sees the moment before it happens. With decades of experience photographing weddings, events, and public figures, he brings a calm, steady presence to every assignment. His work is defined by clean composition, natural storytelling, and an intuitive sense of when a moment is about to unfold. Ed is also the technical mind behind Rogers Photography, handling everything from camera systems to lighting strategy, and he conceives and executes all of the studio’s marketing materials and web design. His blend of technical precision and emotional awareness shapes the visual identity of the entire brand.
Lori Rogers
Lori is the storyteller — the one who feels the room. Her eye is drawn to connection, gesture, and the small details that reveal who people are. She plans and coordinates the photographic timeline for every wedding, ensuring the day flows smoothly and that couples feel supported and cared for. Lori edits every image delivered by the studio, bringing consistency, intention, and a timeless aesthetic to the final collection. She is also the liaison between Rogers Photography and every client, guiding communication, answering questions, and making sure couples always feel seen and understood. In addition, Lori is the designer behind every Rogers Photography album, creating panoramic, hand‑crafted layouts that have earned awards for their artistry, narrative flow, and emotional clarity. Her presence brings warmth, intuition, and a deep sense of connection to every part of the experience.
Together, they bring two perspectives, one vision, and a shared belief that photography should honor the truth of a moment
